It’s always annoyed me that I can’t swipe from the left to go back after reading an article — why not just adopt the standard iOS convention? — but now ads are auto playing with sound as I scroll.

Some articles appear hear a week or more before the print magazine, which is nice.

If you email in with any issue from the app they just cut and paste a reply from a script regardless as to whether it addresses your problem or not.

Between plaintext ads and now auto play video ads, this app is now unusable trash.

So annoying, the app is so buggy it won’t let me subscribe to the New Yorker today using Apple Pay which it offers, and it won’t let me read the articles I want to read without a subscription.

The NYr App gives me enough content to spend an entire day fully stationary & entertained yet allows me the mobility to pee.
